I agree that you should start with good barrel, but the chamber is equally as important. I bought a 10/22 Shilen barrel a couple of years ago and the chamber was long. You could drop a round in the chamber and the bullet wouldn't engrave the rifleing lands. It was quite sloppy to be honest about it.

They are both great quality barrels and there are many other barrel makers as well that produce great barrels like Shilen,Rock creek and the list goes on. I personaly believe the person chambering and crowning the barrel will be more of a factor than brand name.Anyway my 10/22 with the ER shaw barrel shot .850 center to center at 75m. and my CZ452 shot .6 center to center. Both were 10 shot groups. My CZ has a 1.5lb trigger weight and was outfitted with a leupold 3-10 mk4 m3. The 10/22 has a 4-16 pst which is a bit washed out and breaks at almost 5 pounds.May 26, 2559 BE ... ...
